Overview
The mobile module provides the interface with Mobile communication devices such as personal digital assistants and WAP enabled mobile phones to empower customers to gain access to financial services at anytime and from anywhere.
This module offers a flexible and robust solution delivering full mobile banking services to customers to any type of mobile communication device. By providing financial institutions with a reliable and flexible mobile communications foundation, it provides a secure channel for customers to gain access to all the bank’s products and services. Through the adoption of a mobile channel, banks can deliver personalized and consistent 24 x 7 account information and services to their customers via PDA, SMS or WAP.
This mobile module is designed to enable service providers to provide their customers an alternative mode of payment for their bills and purchases. A consumer uses his mobile phone to authorise and authenticate his instructions for payments and process direct debit or credit transactions from his account. It is suitable for bill payment and POS Sales merchants, for purchases of movie tickets as well as payment of carpark charges, petrol or even dinner. The solution will provide the participating merchants with confirmation and payment record at the time of transaction that payments have been made.
Deployed by a leading telecommunications services provider, the mobile payment solution enables the client to provide top-up prepaid cards services to their prepaid customers through Short Message Services (SMS) as well as to provide their customers the ability to engage in mobile payment. It has also been deployed by a financial institution to allow their customers to purchase items on special offers through SMS only.
