Launch of MVRDAS product by WizVision (Shanghai)
For Release: 16 July, 2004
Singapore, July 16, 2004 –
WizVision (Shanghai) announced the launch of Motor
Vehicle Remote Damage Assessment system (MVRDAS), in Shanghai.
A joint
development with the Shanghai InterNet Wireless Terminal Technology
Co. Ltd, WizVision (Shanghai) first developed the product for China
Pacific Life Insurance Co., Ltd (CPIC Life) in February 2004 (WizVision
Insurance Claims Solution for China Pacific Life Insurance Co., Ltd.).
Available
exclusively for motor insurance companies, the system aims to help
both consumers and the companies to quickly assess damages and hence
faster processing of claims.
When a motor
accident occurs and the damaged vehicle needs to be towed to the motor
workshop, the insurance company’s mobile assessment squad will access
the damages on the spot. A Claim Order will then be issued for the
driver to present at the motor workshop, instead of waiting the motor
workshop to access damages and submit claims amounts to the insurance
companies. This will not only hasten the processing time for claims
but also reduced incidents of fraudulent repair claims submitted by
unscrupulous motor workshops on the behalf on unsuspecting drivers.
The product is now
available in Mandarin and an English version will made available in
the near future.
